Girl Scouts can earn the Playing the Past merit badge at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum on the morning of November 7, 2026. The program centers on Mary Louisa Macculloch, who was planning her 1825 wedding, and covers everything the badge requires: sketching a wedding dress, listening to period-appropriate music, digging into family letters, and making a flower crown to take home. Scouts will also write diary entries stepping into Mary Louisa’s shoes, which is either delightful or the most pressure anyone has felt about a wedding since the actual bride. Individual scouts and small troops are both welcome, and a Scout Leader or another adult must attend. Registration details are over at the Morristown Green listing.
