On the eve of Veterans Day, the Morristown Public Library is hosting a screening of “Sentinel: Inside the Sacred Duty,” a 34-minute documentary about the elite U.S. Army platoon that guards the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Every second of every day, without interruption. The film’s creator, award-winning NJ filmmaker Phil Garrison, will be on hand, and his connection to the subject is personal: his father served as a Tomb Guard. It’s a rare chance to go behind the scenes with the soldiers, past and present, who carry that weight. The program runs 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Meeting Room at 1 Miller Rd.
