Major Airbnb Rules Change: What NJ Travelers Need To Know

Starting with reservations booked on or after Nov. 20, Airbnb is cracking down on hosts who pile checkout chores onto guests, meaning no more stripping beds, hauling trash off the property, or washing and putting away dishes before you leave. Hosts also can’t surprise guests with new rules after booking, and any fees for advertised amenities have to be baked into the listed price upfront. A few reasonable exceptions apply, like securing trash in bear country, but repeat violators could face reduced visibility in search results or warning flags on their listings.
