Morristown Nuns Honored At Italian Heritage Mass, Receive $6K Donation

The Filippini Sisters, a Morristown-based religious congregation, were the guests of honor at the Archdiocese of Newark’s third annual Italian Heritage Mass, held October 3 at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark. The event drew a record 500 attendees and raised $6,000 for the sisters: $5,000 toward building a school in Ethiopia and $1,000 to support sisters in the congregation’s Morristown care facility.
